Dr. Allan Dorr is a native Coloradan. After graduating from Alameda High School in Lakewood, he attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he received a BS in Molecular Biology in 1974. Two years later he was accepted by the University of Cambridge, England, to study veterinary medicine. While a student, he did externships with Rossdale, Hunt, Pearce, Hopes and Ricketts of Newmarket and Kirkbride and Carter of Cambridge, in 1981, he graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. UIpon returning to Colorado, he had internships with Littleton Large Animal Clinic and Belcaro Animal Hospital, both near Denver. In 1982, he told a position as an associate veterinarian and moved to Delta, CO. In 1986, he opened Dorr Veterinary Hospital and it has been at its present location since 1987.
